Overview

Vichy Liftactiv Specialist B3 Serum For Dark Spots & Wrinkles 30ml

Exposure to a variety of external factors, such as pollution and UV, can impact skin over time: collagen production declines by 75% and pigment spots may increase by up to 20%.

Ageing and external aggressors, like pollution and UV radiation can lead to the appearance of dark spots, wrinkles and uneven skin.

Vichy's NEW Innovation Liftactiv Specialist B3 Dark Spots and Anti-wrinkle is powered with a blend of derm-active ingredients for a 360 action against dark spots and wrinkles. Formulated with 5% Niacinamide, Vitamin CG and Glycolic acid, the serum helps improve the appearance of epidermal dark spots and wrinkles and leaves skin tone looking more even.

This powerful serum is carefully formulated to be hypoallergenic and suitable for multi-phototypes.

Contains no alcohol, fragrance or silicones.

Key Dermatological Ingredients:

5% Niacinamide

Niacinamide, also called nicotinamide, is a form of vitamin B3. Niacinamide reduces inflammation, which may help ease redness from eczema, acne, and other inflammatory skin conditions. Minimizes pore appearance. Keeping skin smooth and moisturized may have a secondary benefit - a natural reduction in pore size over time. Regulates oil.

Glycolic Acid [AHA - Alpha Hydroxy Acid]

Using AHAs in cosmetics is a highly effective method of exfoliation. The purpose of AHAs is to exfoliate the skin and remove dead skin cells from the surface of the skin to allow new cells to surface, and give the skin daily glow an instant boost. Glycol Acid treatment may increase the production of collagen.

Tranexamic Acid

Tranexamic acid interferes with melanin production and can act as a brightening agent to reduce dark spots and improve hyperpigmentation. Also calms the skin and helps restore the skin barrier.

This clever acid helps even out skin tone, firm and brighten the complexion, but it doesn't leave the skin sensitive to the sun, meaning it can be used both morning and night for best results.

Key Benefits

  • Improves and reduces the appearance of dark spots
  • Evens skin tone
  • Reduces the appearances of wrinkles

FAQ

4 WAYS COLLAGEN CAN HELP TO STRENGTHEN YOUR SKIN

Discover how collagen benefits the health of your skin and the ways you can boost your levels as you age.
Collagen is well known for its benefits for skin, credited for keeping many a Hollywood A-lister's complexion smooth and youthful. But what exactly is it and why should you introduce it to your own beauty routine? Here’s all you need to know about this powerful natural protein.

What is collagen and what does it do?
Collagen is a naturally occurring structural protein and really important to the normal functioning of the body. In fact, it contributes to around 30% of the body’s proteins including tendons, teeth, ligaments and bones. When we age however, collagen production slows down which causes the joints to become stiff, ligaments to lose their flexibility, and the skin to show signs of ageing.

What are the benefits of collagen on the skin?
Collagen plays a vital role in skin health as it forms part of the connective tissue that keeps it firm and supple. It also helps the skin’s natural renewal process where old skin cells are shed to make way for new cells that help the skin glow. But what can you do when your natural collagen production starts to slow down? By day, try applying a moisturiser such as Vichy’s Liftactiv Collagen Specialist Day Cream – a cream designed to target visible signs of collagen loss with a formula enriched with vitamin Cg and biopeptides. This formula helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and improve skin texture.

Should I use collagen supplements
You can boost your collagen level with an ingestible collagen supplement. Research has shown, however, that while a supplement can have a beneficial impact on the body, eating a healthy, balanced diet with animal-based protein can have the same result and provide you with all of the collagen you need. A supplement is best reserved for those who eat a predominantly plant-based diet.

Are there any side effects of using collagen skincare?
There are no known side effects for using collagen skincare, but it’s advisable to make sure any products you use are suited to your skin type. You should also check all the ingredients of ingestible supplements before use as many contain allergens including fish, eggs and shellfish.

Side Effects

Like all skin products, Vichy Liftactiv Specialist B3 Serum For Dark Spots & Wrinkles 30ml can cause side effects, however, this may be less likely.

  • Do not use it, if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, our Rightdose pharmacists or nurse.

OUR BEST ANTI-AGEING CREAMS EXPLAINED

What goes into our best anti-ageing creams? Discover what ingredients make our best anti-ageing cream and find out how to include it into your skincare regime.

The act of ageing seems to quickly catch up with us and your skin is one of the first areas it visibly presents itself. If you’re finding that your skin is developing pigmentations, if fine lines and wrinkles are starting to appear, or that your skin no longer has the fresh glow you once experienced in your youth, it’s time to invest in an expert anti-aging cream.

Let’s find out how an anti-ageing cream works, what key ingredients to look for in the best anti-ageing creams and how to include the application of anti-ageing cream into your daily skincare regime.

How anti-ageing creams work

Our skin goes through a number of changes as we mature, one of the most significant is the loss of collagen. Collagen is a powerhouse natural protein and in our younger years, we have it in abundance. Sadly, the body’s production starts to decline past 25, and the menopause accelerates this reduction even more.

Collagen plays an important role in your skin’s health as it’s responsible for skin elasticity. Once your collagen levels start to decline your skin weakens which leaves it vulnerable to environmental aggressors and irritants. Fine lines and wrinkles can form and your skin can appear dull.

Active ingredients to look for in the best anti-ageing creams

The best anti-ageing creams  to replenish and rebalance your skin. We recommend using Liftactiv Collagen Specialist SPF 25. Specially formulated to target collagen loss, Liftactiv Collagen Specialise SPF 25 is enriched with active dermatological ingredients to provide up to 24 hours of hydration for your skin.

These key active ingredients include Hyaluronic Acid that’s known to hold up to 1000 times its weight in water, Vitamin E and bio-peptides.  The formula is designed to focus on the skin’s firmness, elasticity and brightness.

A broad-spectrum SPF-25 is added to Liftactiv Collagen Specialise SPF 25 to provide a layer of protection against skin-damaging UVA and UVB radiation.

Slow your skins ageing with an expert skincare regime

To target wrinkles, fine lines and everything else that comes with ageing skin, you need to implement an expert skincare regime early on.

Liftactiv is Vichy’s most powerful anti-aging range and is designed to be gentle on and support all skin types.

Dermatologically tested.

YOUR COMPLETE VICHY LIFTACTIV SPECIALIST ROUTINE STEP BY STEP

While you can’t turn back the clock or stop it to keep wrinkles from forming, the right skincare routine can help you keep them at bay for a little while. The award-winning Liftactiv Specialist range has all the formulas you need. Here’s our step-by-step anti-ageing skincare routine…

Step one:

Start your regime with your usual lifting serum. While we can’t stop wrinkles appearing as both our skin’s elasticity and collagen production naturally slow over time, we can influence how they appear.

Vichy recommends:

  • Liftactiv Specialist Peptide-C Ampoules - Vichy's first advanced ampoule that is specifically formulated to target anti-ageing. Containing a mix of key dermatological ingredients like 10% pure Vitamin C, natural origin Hyaluronic Acid, bio-peptides and Vichy Mineralizing Water. Apply half an ampoule to your face in the morning and the remainder in the evening to target fine lines and wrinkles and lack of firmness.
  • Liftactiv Supreme HA Epidermal Filler Serum
  • Liftactiv Supreme 15% Pure Vitamin C Brightening Serum
  • Liftactiv Specialist B3 Serum.

Use after cleansing in the morning and wait 30 seconds before applying your normal skincare routine.

Step two:

Keeping your skin hydrated, strong and healthy also improves signs of ageing. That’s where a good moisturiser that can lock in moisture comes in. Vichy Liftactiv Collagen Specialist Day Cream is enriched with Vichy mineralising water – rich in 15 minerals essential and Vitamin CG. The formula helps restore skin’s protective barrier function, provides up to 48 hour hydration and improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Step three:

With some suggestions that as much as 80 percent of skin ageing is down to sun exposure, any good skincare routine should include the daily application of SPF protection. Liftactiv Collagen Specialist SPF25 is the range’s first SPF offering that is specifically formulated to protect against signs of ageing caused by UVA and UVB radiation. It’s enriched with hyaluronic acid, vitamin E and bio-peptides and helps to keep your skin hydrated all day and make it appear firmer, plumper and more radiant.

Step four:

Using a face mask a couple times a week can also give your skin a much-needed boost and an intense hit of hydration to help it recover from external aggressors and tiredness. Our Liftactiv Hyalu Mask gets to work in just five minutes and can be applied up to three nights a week. Highly concentrated in hyaluronic acid, it instantly rehydrates and softens skin as well as encouraging radiance and a more even skin tone.

Step five:

As your skin actually works overtime at night, repairing and regenerating its cells while you rest, adding a night cream to your skincare routine can be the difference to waking up to a refreshed complexion. Liftactiv Collagen Specialist Night is enriched with peptides and vitamin CG to target wrinkles and saggy skin. Used night after night, your skin can do its best recovery work for a firmer, glowing complexion.
