Trimethoprim is an antibiotic used to treat Cystitis. It is not safe to take in pregnancy unless advised by your own GP.

Cystitis can just get better without antibiotics we recommend that you just use simple painkillers such as paracetamol or ibuprofen for the first two days.

You should only take antibiotics if you have had bothersome symptoms for more than two days.
